SFI specifications promote quality and reliability in the design and manufacturing of motorsports safety equipment. They provide sellers and purchasers with reliable information for purchasing decisions, and offer officials references for evaluating products.
Process
Specifications are developed through an open process using technical committees with cross-sector expertise. All specs follow due process procedures and are published publicly. SFI monitors adherence through certified test reports and periodic reviews.
